Ben Lawson

Ben Lawson has been involved in the Indonesian coal business for more than a decade. He first came to Indonesia in 1996 for infrastructure projects in S.E. Asia.In 1998 the company he was employed with closed its Asian offices due to the "Asian financial crisis".In 1999 he co-founded PT. Motus Gemilang, for bulk commodities trading and consulting.

In December 2009, PT. Motus Gemilang formed a Strategic Partnership with the Apple Group of Companies; a multi-faceted Indian conglomerate. Mr. Lawson now acts as Chief Development Officer at PT. Apple Coal, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Apple Group, with coal mining concessions in the Indonesian Provinces of East Kalimantan and South Sumatra.

Mr. Lawson was Expert Staff for energy affairs to the RI Minister of Small & Medium Enterprises, and has been a speaker and/or chairperson at the most prestigious coal and energy related conferences. In addition he has done televised interviews with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), and print interviews / editorials for UBS Bank, Wood Macenzie, CoalAsia Magazine, Mining & Engineering 'Indonesia Mining' Journal, the Indonesian Coal Report, amongst others.

Mr. Lawson has acted as Expert Witness in coal related arbitration cases under International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) and Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) proceedings.

Mr. Lawson fluently speaks Indonesian (reading and writing at a contractual level of proficiency), Malay and Spanish.He enjoys long-standing personal relationships with many of Indonesia's most prominent public, and private sector individuals.

Tom Robinson holds a bachelor's degree in materials engineering from the University of British Columbia where graduated from in 2007. He has worked at Teck Resources Ltd for the past 7 years in their technology and corporate development departments. Teck Resources is a significant producer of coal, zinc and copper; and has a suite of technologies (www.cesl.com) specifically designed for onsite processing concentrate (copper or nickel) that use environmentally clean and proven technologies versus traditional smelting. Tom has been integrally involved in process development and campaign management during his career at Teck. He currently manages business development initiatives with regards to commercialization of Teck's patented CESL technology on which he has published and presented several papers. In addition, he is also involved in Teck's Zinc Saves Kids program which is a partnership between the International Zinc Association and UNICEF that is focused on helping zinc deficiency associated problems in children.

 
 

Dr Gatut Adisoma

Dr. Gatut S. Adisoma is a Partner at PT Quantus Capital Indonesia (Q-Capital) and Principal of Coal and Minerals at PT Quantus Consultants Indonesia. Q-Capital was founded to enhance values of mining projects by providing comprehensive solutions to their managerial & financial structure, including risk management, technical and marketing advisory. PT Quantus Consultants Indonesia is a subsidiary of Q-Capital which provides integrated services and operations to the mining industry from exploration, mining, to earth engineering and consulting services.
Previously, Gatut served for three years as Director of Operations and Chief Operating Officer of PT Multi Harapan Utama, a Coal Contract of Work company. He was President Director of PT Nabire Bakti Mining, an exploration joint venture company, and sat in the Board of Commissioner at PT Indocopper Investama. His nine years career at PT Freeport Indonesia started as Manager - Grasberg Surface Mine Operations, one of the largest copper-gold mine in the world. He left as Senior Vice President after serving as Vice President in a variety of technical, environmental and stakeholder liaison capacities at the mine site and Jakarta office. He also spent many years working in the United States at the Independent Mining Consultants, Inc., as well as teaching at the University of Arizona, both in Tucson, AZ (USA).
Gatut has a Mining Engineer degree from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), where he later taught and served as Head of Industry Service Program of LPM-ITB. He also holds M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Mining & Geological Engineering from the University of Arizona. He is currently Deputy Chairman on International Affairs of APBI-ICMA (Indonesian Coal Mining Association). Gatut is also active in the Association of Indonesian Mining Professionals (PERHAPI) and Indonesian Association of Geologists (IAGI), and is one of the founding members of IAGI and PERHAPI Competent Persons for resource and reserve estimation. He authored and delivered numerous papers and presentations in national and international mining venues.

 
 

Tony Wenas

Tony Wenas is currently the Executive General Manager of Intrepid Mines Ltd. Immediately before joining Intrepid he was the Chairman of PT Riau Andalan Pulp & Paper (APRIL). Until 2011 he served as the President Director & Chief Executive Officer of PT Vale International Tbk. (formerly PT INCO), one the world's leaders in nickel mining owned majority by Vale, SA - Brazil. Mr. Wenas was Director & Executive Vice President/General Counsel of PT Freeport Indonesia, an affiliate of Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc.

Tony Wenas also currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Indonesia Mining Association (IMA), Chairman of South America Committee and Vice Chairman of Korea Committee at the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Vice Chairman of Indonesian Listed Companies Association.

Mr. Wenas obtained his Bachelor of Law (majoring in Business Law) from the University of Indonesia in 1985, and attended the Executive Program at Sloan School of Management at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Justin has over 10 years extensive international mining experience as a private owner/operator and consultant, as a private owner/operator he was a founding partner of Indonesian gold explorer/producer PT Gemala Borneo Utama who successfully established a heap leach gold operation in west Kalimantan Indonesia and secured and sold its Romang Island project in Maluku to ASX listed Robust Resources who were able to secure Salim group as a strategic investor

Justin is also Director for Nickel Mines Limited a public unlisted company who have successfully developed the Hengjaya Nickel project in Central Sulawesi which has just recently commenced production

As a consultant, Justin has led many successful turn- around projects for blue chip mining companies around the globe helping to deliver many millions of dollars in cost, productivity and strategic improvements. Julian Ford

Julian Ford is Managing Director and CEO of Sumatra Copper & Gold plc. Mr Ford is an experienced mining professional with a career spanning more than 25 years within the global resources industry. He has held senior positions within several major resource companies both in Australia and internationally, having worked for Alcoa, British Gas, Western Metals, Rustenburg Platinum and was the founder of Zambezi Resource Ltd in 2005.

Mr Ford graduated in 1987 with a degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Natal, Durban, South Africa, and later completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of South Africa and a Graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Western Australia. Mr Ford is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

He has held a variety of senior management roles across a range of disciplines including exploration, marketing and operations. Mr Ford is a member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

 
 

Michael Kiernan

Peter Geoffrey Albert, aged 55, was appointed Chief Executive Officer and an Executive Director of the Company on 22 July 2009. Mr. Albert is a metallurgist and holds an Executive MBA degree. He has 30 years of experience in project management, general management and operations management in mining and minerals processing in Australia, Africa and Asia. He is a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (London), a member of the AusIMM and a Chartered Engineer.

For his achievements and leadership in the mining industry, and voted by his peers, Mr. Albert was awarded the "Mining CEO of the Year" for two consecutive years, at the 2011 and 2012 Asia Mining Congress.

He was the Executive General Manager - Asia of OZ Minerals Limited covering off-shore operations; the Sepon copper and gold operations and projects; the development of the Martabe Project; business development in Asia, and Asian government relations. He joined Oxiana Limited in 2000 from Fluor Daniel, where he held the position of General Manager - Proejcts. Mr. Albert has also worked with Shell-Billiton (Australia) and JCI (South Africa).

Mr. Djaja M. Tambunan was appointed as Finance Director on June 26, 2008. He graduated with a degree in Business administration from the University of Canberra, Australia. He had held various key positions in the financial sector for 17 years. He started his career in banking with Citibank in 1991 as Assistant Vice President until 1997. He became Vice President at the Chase Manhattan Bank from 1997 until 2001. From 2001 until 2006 he was Senior Vice President at Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. He was Executive Director at JP Morgan Chase Bank, N.A. from 2006 until 2008. He was 47 years old as of December 31, 2012.

Mr An Sudarno works for Harita Group, a diversified natural resources company which is also running the business of nickel mining. The company is going to build nickel smelting plant. He has been with Harita Group for a year now, and his current position is as Senior General Manager of Smelter Project, with his main responsibilities including managing and coordinating the project development of a nickel smelter.

Prior to his current position, Mr Sudarno had 16 years experience in nickel smelting plants with PT Vale Indonesia (formerly PT. Inco Indonesia). His roles during his time in PT Inco Indonesia/PT Vale Indonesia included General Manager Technology Development (2012), General Manager Smelter (2006 - 2012), Manager of Laboratory (2004-2006), Manager of Process Technology & Development (2003 - 2004), and Process Engineer (1997 - 2003).

 
 

Dr Jeffrey Malaihollo

Dr Malaihollo was appointed as Managing Director of Arc Exploration in October 2013. He has a PhD in Geological Sciences from the University of London researching the tectonics of eastern Indonesia. Dr Malaihollo has been involved in the exploration and mining industry for 20 years working with both major and junior exploration companies in Indonesia, Australia, China, Canada, East Africa and elsewhere. He was the Managing Director and a founder of AIM-ASX listed GGG Resources Plc (now Bullabulling Gold Ltd). Prior to this he was the Head of Research and Director at a specialist mining finance house in London.

In addition to this, he also serves as Commissioner of PT Thiess Contractors Indonesia, PT Kalimantan Surya Kencana, PT Golden Energy Mining TBK, PT Gunung Bara Utama; President Commissioner of PT Tondano Nusa Jaya as well as Commisioner of PT. Golden Eagle Energy TBK. Prior to this, Dr Bambang held a range of portfolios in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia with his most recent portfolio at the ministry being as the Director General of Mineral, Coal and Geothermal from 2008 till 2010 and Director General of Mineral and Coal from 2010 till March 2011.

Dr Bambang holds a Masters in Mining Exploration Engineering from the Institute Technology Bandung (ITB), Indonesia as well as a PHD in Geology and Mining Exploration from the Ecole Nationale Superieure Des Mines de Paris, France.

 
 

Ken Allan

Ken is an Australia Chartered Accountant who has been living and working in Indonesia for the past 24 years. Originally an auditor with KPMG, he has been a tax consultant with Deloitte Touche and MS Taxes, and involved in corporate finance and debt restructuring with PT Renaissance Capital. Ken was the Marketing Director of PT Borneo Lumbung Energi & Metals Tbk, and Marketing Director of PT Asmin Koalindo Tuhup, which owns the Tuhup hard coking coal mine (3rd Generation CCoW) in Central Kalimantan, Indonesia, from 2010 through 2012. He is now the Finance Director of BLEM and AKT and acts as Investor Relations Head as well as maintaining close links to the Marketing role.

Mansur Geiger has over 35 years mineral exploration experience in Australia and Indonesia. Mr. Geiger is fluent in the Indonesian language and customs. He has worked on the KGC Central Kalimantan project from its inception in 1982 and it is reasonable to say that he has committed his career to seeing Kalimantan Gold succeed in making a major copper gold mineral discovery. He is a founder of the BCU elementary school in Central Kalimantan and active in several Indonesian mining associations. He has written papers spanning, Copper Gold Porphyry Exploration in Kalimantan, Mining and Sustainable Development and Issues Related to the Indonesian Mining Regulatory Environment.

Malcolm Baillie is a Metallurgical and Chemical Engineer with over 30 years of experience in executive positions in Indonesia. He has led exploration projects, feasibility studies, mine construction and operation.
Prior to his retirement in 2009, he was President Director of PT. Weda Bay Nickel which defined and world class lateritic nickel deposit in Halmahera. Subsequently, he formed PT. Regional Advisory Services, through which he provided advice to PT. Weda Bay Nickel and a number of other exploration companies.
In 2011 The Indonesian Forum for Mineral Exploration and Development Indonesia was formed to encourage exploration in Indonesia. He is currently chairman of the forum.

Henry holds a Bachelor of Science, magna cum laude, in Business Administration with emphases in Finance and Economic Analysis and Policy, from the University of California at Berkeley and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program, Harvard Business School (AMP166). He has also attended other Executive Education programs at Harvard Business School and Stanford University, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate strategies, and advanced general management. Previously, Henry served as a Resettlement Coordinator for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Indonesia.

Michael is a Director (equity partner) of Partners In Performance, a 300-person consultancy that helps the world's resource firms improve bottom line performance through cost reduction, throughput improvement and improved capital project planning and execution.

Michael has 26 years experience in operational improvement in capital intensive industries both as a line manager and a consultant. He has worked in 27 countries and 45 industries including coal, gold, nickel and zinc mining and processing and mining explosives manufacturing. For the last seven years, he has focused his work in Indonesia, PNG, the Philippines and Australia.

Prior to joining PIP, he was brought in by Ayala Corp., one of the Philippines largest conglomerates, to help turnaround the operations of their real estate development business including procurement, IT, and construction. Prior to Ayala, he headed McKinsey's SE Asian Operations practice. Earlier in his career he built and ran automotive supplier Valeo's Corp's first surface mount electronics assembly plant in the US.

Michael received his bachelor's degree in Economics with honors at Harvard University. He earned an MBA from the Wharton Graduate School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

 
 

Alastair Mcintyre

Mr. Alastair McIntyre is Senior Managing Director of Behre Dolbear - Asia in Hong Kong. Mr. McIntyre has more than 35 years of global experience in the metals and mining business with 20 years spent in the banking and finance sectors in Toronto, Sydney, and Hong Kong working for top tier metals investment banks in addition to roles in private equity and advisory. Mr. McIntyre began his career working as geologist in exploration for uranium, base metals and gold in addition to managing underground gold mining operations as a senior underground mine geologist with a number of junior mining companies in Canada. Prior to banking, he worked as the gold refinery Sales Manager at the Royal Canadian Mint.

In his current role of Senior Managing Director - Asia, Mr. McIntyre manages Behre Dolbear's Asian business focusing on technical advisory services to the mining and financial community. He has overseen numerous due technical diligence projects and Independent Technical Reports in multi minerals and metals transactions used to support financing and listings on the Hong Kong and Singapore stock exchanges. Mr. McIntyre has also served as project manager on a number of due diligence projects including iron ore in Malaysia, coal in Indonesia, gold in China, lead/zinc/silver in Mongolia and was also Project Manager in Behre Dolbear's role of Commercial Advisor to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange acquisition of the London Metals Exchange in 2012. He serves as a Board Member of the Canadian Institute of Mining (CIM) branch of HK and has completed SFC Papers for Regulation of Asset Management, Derivatives and Futures and was a Responsible Officer type 2 Dealing in Futures Contracts. Mr. McIntyre has a unique understanding of the metals and mining business through running metals sales desks, managing mining companies and working as an underground mine geologist and holds a B. Sc. (Geology) and a B. Comm. (Bus Admin and Economics) from Dalhousie University in Canada.

 
 

Darryl Harris

Darryl Harris is an engineering metallurgist with over 35 years experience in the development, design and commissioning of various metallurgical plants, including iron and steel, sulphuric acid, alumina and base metal projects. Mr Harris has had a long association with consultant engineering companies including Nedpac, Signet Engineering, and for the last 18 years with the Outotec group.

This includes coordination of various studies and concept development of various metallurgical plants including iron ore beneficiation and iron and steel projects and specific metallurgical experience includes detailed feasibility studies, laboratory testwork, and project development, design and commissioning for a variety of gold, ferrous, diamond and base metal projects.

Mr Harris is Head of Ferrous Solutions for Outotec South East Asia Pacific. He is also currently a non-executive Director of Indo Mines Ltd which is associated with the development of the Kulon Progo iron project in Indonesia and also a non-executive director of Consolidated Tin Mines Ltd which is developing a tin project in Nth Queensland.
